Aromatherapy Associates to open own-brand salon

Aromatherapy Associates is gearing up to launch its first own-branded store and treatment rooms.

Aromatherapy Associates Boutique & Treatment Rooms will open at 5 Montpellier Street, Knightsbridge, London, on October 11.

It will be laid out over two floors. The ground floor will be a boutique selling the entire collection of Aromatherapy Associates bath and shower oils, body oils, creams, skincare and gift sets. The lower ground will house three treatment rooms, each decked out to look like a bedroom and offering classic massages and facials as well as a new 45-minute express menu. There will also be a relaxation room offering comforting refreshments such as mini cottage pies, fresh fruit and nuts, and rose and lavender flavoured macaroons.

The space is being designed by interiors expert Martin Hulbert and will feature warm grey colours, mirrored walls and individual touches such as a chandelier designed using the bath and shower oil bottles.

In the boutique area, customers will be offered mini treatments and product recommendations from a team of expert aromatherapists. There will also be an ingredients bar where customers can experience essential oils in their raw form. The signature service will be a personalised prescription with Aromatherapy Associates co-founder Geraldine Howard.

Visitors can book in for an hour-long consultation with Howard, who will then devise a personalised blend that will be created and sent to the client in an engraved 100 ml bottle within four weeks. Choose from the highly acclaimed classics, such as the Age Repair Facial and Essential Rose Facial, or the de-puffing, skin buffing or mood and muscle healing body treatments, including the Ultimate Aromatherapy Experience or Sleep Deeply. Or there's the new "pack a punch" 45 minute treatment menu, (from £65; exclusive to the boutique) designed to instantly release stress and tension.

Geraldine Howard said: "It is a dream come true for us to have our own platform to shout about... The space will be dedicated to the therapeutic value of essential oils and each and every person who walks through the door will take a valuable experience away with them."
