Belfast-based company launches Groupon competitor Treat Ticket
Belfast-based company Treat Ticket has launched as a local competitor to discounting websites such as Groupon and Living Social. Many spas and salons already use Groupon, the US-based online voucher giant, which allows consumers to register for free and receive beauty and spa deals straight to their inbox each day. In a similar fashion, TreatTicket.com offers discounts on local services and products including spas, hotels and restaurants to Northern Irish consumers. The company has plans to add 16 cities across the UK and Ireland to its website over the next 14 months. Treat Ticket managing director Mary McCall told the Belfast Telegraph: 'Local businesses need the people of Northern Ireland to support them - so TreatTicket works for everyone.' TreatTicket.com is set to launch in Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool and Dublin in the next three months. Local businesses can apply to be featured via www.treatticket.com
