March saw the launch of the UV Plus Anti Pollution protector from Clarins.

The product, which is SPF50, is designed to shield the skin from the sun, as well as protect it from environmental damage and the potentially ravaging effect of free radical attack.

The plant-based ingredients in the formulations include sanicle extract sourced from the Alps, to strengthen the skin and for antioxidant effect; blackcurrant extract, to combat skin tightness and redness as a result of damage caused by pollution and UV rays; and cantaloupe melon extract, to fight oxidative stress.

The protector, said to help fight the visible signs of ageing, also contains high molecular weight hyaluronic acid - to hydrate the skin.
