Caci's Dean Nathanson appointed BCA chairman
Dean Nathanson, managing director of beauty equipment supplier CACI, has been voted in as chairman of the Beauty Companies Association (BCA). Jon Hardwick, managing director of Grafton International, distributor of brands including Orly and Comfort Zone, has been chosen as its vice-chairman. Members of the BCA voted in Nathanson, who will act as chair for the association's quarterly meeting. He will also prepare agendas and lead discussions with members and non-member companies. Nathanson replaces Ian Gerrard, director of Jessica and Mii distributor Gerrard International, who stepped down after two years in the position. Nathanson said: 'I hope that in my term as chairman I will be able to create greater awareness of the BCA and its activities.' He added: 'Our aim is to set a gold standard that all members of the BCA and the industry in general will subscribe to.' The BCA was formed in 2009 as an industry organisation for beauty suppliers. It aims to improve and maintain industry standards and to help shape the future of the beauty industry. Members are able to share their views and experiences through networking opportunities and seminars. They also have access to group discounts on business supplies and advice from other members.
