Consol expands offer to reach wider self-serve market
Tanning salon chainConsol is embarking on a major rebranding exercise with the addition of more treatments to diversify into new areas. The group, which has 55 self-service sunbed salons across the UK, has added other machine-based treatments that can be operated by the client to its menu. The latest isvibrating fitness equipment Power Plate. The chain'smarketing manager Mette Jensen said: 'Consol has always been at the forefront of the tanning industry, but to keep up with developing trends and consumer demand, we decided that we needed to expand our current offering, to encompass fitness as well as aqua massage beds and collagen light treatments.' The new additions will be rolled out to salons nationwide over the next two years. Clients will be invited to attend an open day where Consol will explain the new equipment and offer free 10-minute sessions. Clients who don't attend the briefings will still be able to use the equipment in the unmanned salons using the in-salon instructions or the user helpline, which is manned during opening hours.
