Consumers dissatisfied with body care products
Nearly 80% of women who slather on body lotions wish they were longer-lasting and almost half are dissatisfied that even straight after applying they still have dry skin. The figures were revealed in a new report conducted in the US by market researcher Mintel. In addition to this, three in ten US women said they had still not found a product that works for them, with 38% of users citing hand lotions as too greasy and 37% saying body moisturisers left their skin feeling sticky. However, the figures also revealed that more than 40% of adults use hand and face creams daily and over half apply them more than three days a week. The stats suggest that even though satisfaction levels are lower than they could be, the frequency of use continues to be high and the need for high-quality, professional lotions is greater.
