Demand for extended waxing is on the rise
The number of clients opting for extreme waxes has more than doubled in the past five years, according to specialist hair removal salon group Cannelle. The French group, which has a raft of salons on its home soil as well as two in the UK, said that the number of clients choosing more thorough options that the traditional bikini wax has risen from 25% to 70%. Five years ago, 75% of Cannelle's female clients had a normal bikini wax, 22% chose Brazilian and just 3% had extended waxing. A recent survey shows that now 33% are choosing to have a normal bikini wax, 34% choose Brazilian or Hollywood and 33% choose extended, revealing that 70% of Cannelle clients choose to remove the majority of bikini hair today. Men's Brazilian waxing has also rocketed in popularity and intense pulsed light (IPL) is becoming a firm favourite for hair removal having nearly doubled in the last five years.
