Eastthorpe Hall to open second spa
Professional Beauty Award-winning day spa Eastthorpe Hall is preparing to launch a second site in nearby Leeds. The Potting Shed is scheduled to open in early June in Leeds's Redbrick shopping centre. Unlike Mirfield-based Eastthorpe Hall, which won PB's Day Spa of the Year 2011 award in February, The Potting Shed will be a salon specialising in quick-fix essentials such as waxing and manicures, although some of the signature treatments from Eastthorpe will be adapted for the salon. The salon will house two treatment rooms with face and body treatments using Elemis and Lava Shells, four mani/pedi stations using Nails Inc products and a large waiting area. It will be decked out like a potting shed with plant pots and watering cans on the shelves sprouting seedlings and a treatment menu to fit. Signature treatments will include the Scythes and Shears manicure and waxing the promises to 'prune and clip neglected hedges' with treatments including 'Lady Garden, Borders Only' Owner Sam Pearce said: 'We're aiming for a tongue-in-cheek, eclectic feel. Our gift vouchers will be called Hedge Funds and we'll have a kids' menu called saplings and seedlings.'
