Fake Bake launches sun awareness campaign
Spray tan brand Fake Bake is launching a campaign to raise awareness of the danger of sun exposure today (April 28). The company's National Save Your Skin Campaign Day was planned to launch between the UK's two long Bank Holidays where people were expected to spend a lot of time outdoors in the sunshine. Fake Bake salons across the UK will donate profits from every spray tan performed on April 28 to Save Your Skin campaign partner and skin cancer charity RAFT. Many Fake Bake at Home practitioners will also donate. The campaign is also being backed by Sam Fairers (pictured), star of ITV2's The Only Way is Essex, who was sprayed in support of the cause this week. Last year, Fake Bake took 12,876 signatures to Number 10 as part of a similar campaign, lobbying the government to follow Scotland in banning under-18's from using sunbeds - a law that eventually came into force in England earlier this month.
