Filthy Gorgeous bags business support
In-store salon group Filthy Gorgeous has received a package of promotion worth more than £50,000 from business contest Venture Candy. Filthy Gorgeous, which has salons in Debenhams stores, won the health and beauty category in the Venture Candy competition, which is an annual contest to reward the UK's next top entrepreneurs. The aim of Venture Candy is to provide growing enterprises with the exposure, profile and support they need to grow. The finalists were chosen by a panel of judges, including beauty guru Jo Malone, Big Picture chief executive Tyler Moorehead and Innocent drinks founder Richard Reed. The winners were voted for by readers of free paper Metro. There were three finalist in each category and Filthy Gorgeous won 51% of the votes in health and beauty. Filthy Gorgeous will receive an ad campaign in Metro, worth at least £50,000; marketing and branding advice from brand development agency The Scarlett Mark; ad campaign creation from The School of Communication Arts and business mentoring from a panel of entrepreneurs. Noelle Shine, managing director and co-founder of Filthy Gorgeous, said: 'We knew our brand had to stand out to be successful in the market - and it looks like Metro readers think it has! This has given us even more confidence to develop the company to the next level - and keep on delivering a great service and product, making women look and feel gorgeous.'
