Gill Morris launches business training for students
Beauty business trainer Gill Morris has launched a programme of workshops to give business training to final year beauty therapy students. Morris, who runs GMT Business Training, designed the course to bridge the gap between practical therapy skills and the management, finance and marketing skills needed to set up a business - or to climb the ranks in an existing salon or spa. The first workshop in the series is titled Starting a Business and will be delivered at colleges in either a full-day certificated workshop format or a half-day seminar. Morris said: 'I see a lot of beauty businesses that either don't survive or don't reach their full potential and I want to play my part to ensure our future business owners are better prepared for when they start their businesses.' The training will cover key issues surrounding planning for, marketing and managing a profitable business. Course fees will start at £35 per student.
