Professional brands shortlisted for new awards
A host of professional brands, including Elemis, Clarins, and Zoya, have been nominated for the first ever Beauty Shortlist Awards. The awards have been launched to recognise the best in British beauty brands and the winners will be announced on April 17. Beauty journalist Fiona Klonarides, founder of The Beauty Shortlist blog, launched the awards, which have a focus on natural and organic products, and will also recognise international and smaller niche brands. The main categories are: Best British Skincare Brand; Best Natural or Organic Brand; Best Value Natural or Organic Brand; Best 'Give Back' Brand, Best 'Bee' Beauty Brand, and Best Beauty Breakthrough. The awards will also feature a Peoples' Choice segment with four categories that will open for voting later this week. Other professional brands in the running for the awards include: Aromatherapy Associates, Aveda, Cetuem, Dermalogica, Dr Hauschka, Elemental Herbology, Karora, Mama Mio, Pai ans Terre d'Oc.
