Russie Blanche launches at K Spa
Russie Blanche, a new treatment and product range inspired by traditional Russian therapies, has launched into the UK via London's K West Hotel & Spa. The treatment and product range, created by ex Storm model and former Miss USSR Julia Lemigova, combines Russian plant ingredients and treatment methods with French refinement. Lemigova created Russie Blanche (White Russian) in 2009, but devised her first wellbeing spa in Paris, France, ten years ago. The collection of Russie Blanche products features plant actives such as Siberian ginseng and Siberian golden root, used in Russian medicine. The treatments are based around traditional Russian baniya therapies, which use hot and cold therapy to fortify the body's natural resistance. The range includes white branded products for the face and black for the body to symbolise the cold of winter and warmth of the Russian baniyas. K West Spa will offer four facials, three cleansing and detoxing body treatments and six body massages including its signature treatment, which replicates a Russian baniya body ritual. This gradually increases the temperature of the body before the therapist uses Russian birch branches, soaked in therapeutic oils, to tap the body. Snow is then scooped on to the body to detox and stimulate circulation in K Spa's snow room, currently the only one in London. Lemigova is hoping to expand Russie Blanche into spas across the UK.
