The Knightsbridge Laser Clinic branches out into training
London's Knightsbridge Clinic is to open its doors to therapists looking for training in intense pulsed light treatments. The clinic, which is owned by IPL equipment supplier Ellipse, will run courses to give an independent qualification in IPL, covering hair removal, skin rejuvenation and thread vein treatments. Trainees will not need to be Ellipse customers. Sales and marketing manager Elsabe Koch said: 'A lot of therapists are not looking to buy IPL machines but know they can get better jobs if they have a qualification.' The treatment has grown in popularity among salons, since the deregulation of class 4 lasers and IPL equipment by government, removing registration costs for salons.
