Three quarters of UK women use out of date beauty products
Some 73% of British women knowingly use out of date cosmetics, of which 67% estimated the average age of their oldest product was two years. The figures come from a survey of 1,183 women aged 18 and over, carried out by discount website myvouchercodes.co.uk Two fifths of women revealed they found replacing beauty products too expensive, while almost a quarter said they didn't believe the expiration dates of the products. Mascara and eyeliner are the top two cosmetic products women can't throw away and received 71% and 67% of votes respectively, with nail varnish third at 61%. Other research out this month from natural deodrant company Bionsen, revealed that on average women spend £100,000 on beauty products in their lifetime, with women from Birmingham being the biggest spenders.
