Make-up artists: be in it to win it
Do you want to put your skills to the test? Then take part in the prestigious Make-up Competition at Professional Beauty London on April 3-4 at ExCeL London.

This year’s Make-up Competition welcomes all skill levels, from students and industry novices, to MUAs who have been working in the field for years. Renowned session make-up artist Lan Nguyen-Grealis is organising and hosting the competition and has created categories that will allow you to showcase your creativity, skills and precision.

Categories this year cover key make-up skills including Bodypaint, Bridal, Film and Editorial. There will also be a Creative Influencer category to recognise professionalism among social media make-up influencers. More details on each brief can be found at

These categories have been designed to reflect the ever-changing industry skills needed for today’s MUA.

This year the make-up competition welcomes a new category: Image Award, with the theme of ‘Campaign Look AW22’. Entrants will submit their entry pre-show and shortlisted images will be displayed in a gallery at the competition area of PB London to be judged on the day.

A team of seasoned industry judges will review your work – a fantastic opportunity for feedback and critique from the sector’s best MUAs. This is your chance to meet and learn from the best in the business. The 2022 judging team includes: Armand Beasley, Tania Grier, Jo Sugar, Dean Rudd, Julia Townend, Megan Thomas, Gemma Horner, Kamanza Amihyia, Cathyanne Mac Allister, Eli Wakamatsu, Emma Kotch, Justine Jenkins, and Glow Up’s Ophelia Liu and Leigh Easthope.
