World Spa & Wellness Asia goes from strength to strength
330 spa delegates attend the second edition of World Spa & Wellness Asia on May 13–14 2019 to learn from the leading names in the industry, discussing the most pressing topics.
The event was held at a brand new location, Le Meridien Beach Resort Phuket, situated oceanfront on a secluded cove on Phuket's south-western coast. The delegate list was jam-packed with CEO’s and owners of spas, hotels and wellness centre’s from across the globe, all impressed by the speaker line-up, brand showcase and education and networking opportunities on offer.
The event was platinum partnered by LPG Systems and as also backed by partners; Indiba Asia, Matrix Fitness, Voya, Zimmer Medizin Systeme, The Ministry of Public, Thai Spa Association, Asia Pacific Spa & Wellness Coalition and Asia Spa Magazine. Once again, the convention did what it set out to do – bring together top-level spa and wellness operators with leading industry suppliers.
The convention was opened by His Excellency, Dr. Nattawuth Prasertsiriping, Director General, Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Public Health, Royal Thai Government.
Standout sessions included keynote talks by Vanessa Main, Director, The Loft Studio Spa, who discussed becoming a “kick-ass” leader by building a “kick-ass” team; and Brooke Vulinovich, social media trainer and Instagram specialist explained how to work with influencers to grow your brand.
The panel ‘Treating guests living with cancer and others with compromised health’ was extremely popular and received high praise, with delegates discussing the once controversial topic long after it ended.
There was also an intimate brand showcase from LPG Systems, Biologique Recherche, Indiba, Voya, Matrix Fitness and Hommage.
Delegates and exhibitors were very happy with how the second edition of the event turned out and are already asking about the topics and set-up for next year’s convention.
