Catwalk Make-Up Competition

Considered one of the most unconventional and outspoken fashion designers in the world, Dame Vivienne Westwood rose to fame in the late 1970s when her early designs helped shape the look of the punk rock movement.
Constantly ahead of the curve, where she led other designers followed. Her environmental activism in her latter years typified her strong beliefs. Capture the essence of her unconventional styling, blending nails, hair and make-up to recreate the level of fearlessness that she brought to the runway. Remember that your finished look needs to work at a distance as well as close up.
You must plan the overall look to include hair and makeup, hair prep may be done prior to the competition starting (i.e. hair in rollers or grips). You must do final styling to your model’s hair and do all make up from beginning to end in the time allocated. You may use a clothes stylist or dress the model yourself.
Your accompanying Mood Board will storyboard your inspiration and vision and must include a headshot of what your model looks like normally. You’ll be talking through this with the judges to walk them through your creation.
Style your model to complete your look, with carefully sourced clothing and great looking hair to reflect your creation.
How To Enter
Entry fees for the Professional Beauty make-up competitions are £35 for professionals and £20 for students.
To enter the catwalk make-up competition:
- Register for your free ticket to Professional Beauty London 2024
- Go to the 'What's On' section and click the Make-Up Competitions.
- Choose the category/categories you would like to enter.
- Add to basket and follow through to checkout.
The deadline for entries is 10am on Thursday 29th February.
