Creative Front Cover Competition
Level: Professional and Student (2 hours)
Model: Any gender and aged over 16
Style: Top to toe – makeup, hair and clothing
Theme: Elements – Earth, Wind, Fire and Water
This category asks you to create a creative look worthy of a front cover. Detailed and intricate, impress our judges with your eye for colour and creativity. Remember that your finished look needs to work at the closest of scrutiny.
You must plan the overall look to include hair and makeup, hair prep may be done prior to the competition starting (i.e. hair in rollers or grips).
You must do final styling to your model’s hair and do all make up from beginning to end in the time allocated.
Hair styling can include use of wigs, hairpieces, false hair, head dresses, hats, etc.
Clothing for this category needs only to cover the torso, not full length.
Your accompanying Mood Board will storyboard your inspiration and vision and must include a headshot of what your model looks like normally.
You’ll be talking through this with the judges to walk them through your creation.
How To Enter
Entry fees for the Professional Beauty make-up competitions are £35 for professionals and £20 for students.
To enter the character make-up competition:
- Register for your free ticket to Professional Beauty London 2024
- Go to the 'What's On' section and click the Make-Up Competitions.
- Choose the category/categories you would like to enter.
- Add to basket and follow through to checkout.
The deadline for entries is 10am on Thursday 29th February.
