Plymouth-based beauty salon Satori to open new sites in the South West

Less than 18 months after opening, Plymouth-based beauty salon Satori is expanding by opening new sites in the South West.

Owners Natasha Griffin and Stuart Dyke are expecting to launch a site in Exeter, and potentially Truro, with further plans to target locations on the M5 corridor towards Bristol.

"We are already having conversations with various people about investment into the brand and company… and we are training our staff so there is a structure in place to help us with the next Satori. We have 10 girls working for us and they could each go into the next salon,” said Griffin.

"We want to cover the region. We know a lot of other cities would love this,” Dyke added.

Satori opened in Plymouth’s Drake Circus Shopping Centre in January 2015 and since then turnover has hiked 45% year-on-year, with its customer database surpassing 7,500 people.

Griffin and Dyke believe its investment in equipment and staff that has made the business a success, having spent £100,000 fitting out their mall unit and encouraging staff to undertake advanced qualifications in growth areas such as nail art.
