Sephora UK will be opening its first West End store later this year in London's Carnaby Street.
The new store will be located at 5-7 Carnaby Street and will have a new boutique format, measuring 4,400 sq ft, including 2,600sq ft of trading space.
The concept will focus more on curated selections, specialist guidance, and faster service, complemented by a refreshed storefront and the introduction of "Beauty Scan" technology designed to provide more personalised recommendations and a multi-channel experience.
Catherine Spindler, president of Sephora Europe and Middle East, said, “We are very excited to reveal this new store format, carving out our own unique path through an expansion strategy and commitment that reflect our ongoing consumer engagement.
She added, "We’re thrilled to bring this new experience of Sephora London – a city that has always been at the heart of beauty culture and innovation.”
What are Sephora's growth plans?
Sephora UK is accelerating its store expansion, aiming to open 20 locations by 2026, with further growth and a potential London flagship planned for 2027/2028
In October 2025, Sephora UK announced that it will be fast-tracking its physical retail growth, with managing director Sarah Boyd targeting 20 UK stores by the end of 2026.
Following the successful launch of 11 stores in major UK cities, Boyd said she was pushing ahead to make Sephora a “culture-forward, household name for beauty” across the country.
The accelerated expansion came after strong consumer demand and impressive market response. Sephora UK currently operates 11 stores, with plans to double that number within two years.
Boyd confirmed that this rapid growth was just the beginning, with a “strong pipeline” for further bricks-and-mortar developments in 2027 and 2028.
Future expansion could include additional London locations and potentially a flagship store in zone one, although only if the ideal site is found. This strategic push underlines Sephora UK’s commitment to building a robust retail presence while staying at the forefront of beauty culture in the UK.
