Machines top treatment wish list for salons and spas
Machine-based treatments are set for growth this year as UK salons and spas look to offer a more results-driven treatment menu, according to new research by Professional Beauty.
50% of beauty salon owners in our exclusive Insider survey said they want to introduce machines into their business to treat concerns such as fat reduction and hair removal, while 17% of spas want to offer machine-based facials to clients.
Of the beauty salons surveyed, 10% said they specifically wanted to take on the new Caci Synergy machine, which uses LED and microcurrent to encourage skin regeneration and collagen production.
“Caci treatments are requested a lot by my clients and the new Synergy machine is meant to give really good results. I hope to invest in it soon,” said Tracey Coleman, managing director of The Sunshine Studio in Leicester.
A further 9% said fat reduction machines would top their wish lists, naming platforms including Lipofirm from Advanced Esthetics Solutions. The results are comparable to those of our May 2015 Insider survey, when we asked, “Which treatment would you take on if money were no object”. At that time, “Caci facial machine” was the top answer from salon owners, followed by laser skin rejuvenation, radiofrequency then laser hair removal, indicating that machine-based facials are a trend that will stand the test of time in salons
