LCBT Student Awards announces winners

On June 5, the London College of Beauty Therapy (LCBT) hosted an awards ceremony to reveal the winners of its annual Student Awards. The event, which also celebrated the college’s 20th anniversary, was held to recognise the achievements of its 2000 students over the past year.

Hosted by Charlene Scott, Head of Student Engagement at LCBT and experienced MUA, the event was attended by nearly 300 students, along with the event’s prize sponsors and tutors. Sponsors of the event included Essie, Gerrard International and Salon Service/Beauty Express.

Eileen Cavalier OBE, Founder and Chairman of LCBT said: “I am delighted that we can celebrate today, not only the successes of this year’s students, but those of the past twenty years, many of whom have gone onto forge highly successful careers.”

The college’s Student of the Year Award was given to Nikolett Vegh due to her high standards, commitment and work ethic. Emma Lynwood of Essie and Claire Moran of Ellisons presented the award. A special award was also given to Marie Turone who won her live regional heat of the World Skills Beauty Therapy competition.
