Whether you’re looking to upgrade your treatment menu or future proof your salon, there’s a whole host of education on offer at PBHGlasgow 2024.

Leading experts from all corners of the beauty, spa, hair and aesthetic industries will be heading up an array of inspirational and education talks across the three FREE live stages at PBHGlasgow, taking place at the Scottish Event Campus on June 9-10.

Our three live stages - Hairdressers Journal and Modern Barber Stage, Advanced Beauty Stage, and Trends and Business Stage - will offer something for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting to build your business. 

Advanced Beauty Stage

With clients searching for results-driven treatments now more than ever, the Advanced Beauty stage provides educational talks from leading beauty experts. 

Marie Tudor, CEO of Skcin, the UK’s only skin cancer charity totally dedicated to promoting education and awareness and early detection, will be speaking on a panel about how to best safeguard clients and educate salon teams about skin cancer. 

Andrea Simpson, founder of award-winning skin boutique and renowned facialist, will be speaking on how to layer technologies in advanced facials to increase client spend. 

William Foley is one of the UK’s leading Aestheticians, a celebrity facialist, and a member of the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology. His session will explore how incorporating holistic wellness into practices can help achieve aesthetic outcomes.

Joanne Serrant, Skin and Massage Therapist, will teach you how to master the art of facial massage.

Trends and Business Stage

If you're looking to take your business to the next level this stage is the place for you. With a two day programme packed with tips and tricks to help you grow your business, you can learn the skills you need to recreate the trends independently with live demonstrations featuring close up cameras so you can see those all important details. Hear experts' tips to support your business goals and implement these strategies in your salon straight away!

James Mac, Internationally acclaimed professional Makeup Artist, is giving a talk entitled ‘Creativity with Beauty’ which demonstrates how to add a creative spin on conventional beauty - helping the everyday beauty goer to elevate their look to best showcase their makeup artistry. 

Elise Smith, Scottish nail artist, Salon Owner and Educator, will be offering insights into how to create a standout salon. 

Hayley Snishko is an Award-winning therapist, the owner of Home Sanctuary, founder of the Massage4MentalHealth campaign and creator of Mind Body Touch Training. Her live session will discuss how to build an award-winning business in Mobile Therapy. 

Becca Butterworth, a Gelish Master Educator, is taking to the Trends and Business Stage to deliver a session on 3D Nail Art with Gelish.

Susan Routledge is an award-winning beauty & aesthetic clinic owner, leading industry speaker, author and member of numerous beauty industry steering groups and judging panels. She will be offering tips and tricks regarding ‘how to confidently increase your prices for clients to love it’.

Hairdressers Journal and Modern Barber Stage

Visit this stage to learn valuable tips and tricks through watching live demonstrations by leading hair and barbering experts.

Alan Edwards, Owner of Alan Edwards Salon and Alan Edwards Educational Studios, will be discussing ‘Contemporary Classics’

Christopher Laird, co-owner of the November Collective,’s journey reflects a blend of passion, tenacity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. From humble beginnings to prestigious collaborations, he continues to push boundaries and leave an indelible mark on the hair industry. He will be talking about ‘Trend Discovery’ in the hair and barbering industry.

Andrew Dawson is the founder of Sigma Male Image and has won the North East and Scottish Barber of the Year awards. His session explores uniting Barbering and Hairdressing.

Jamie McDonald will be presenting on the Hairdressers Journal and Modern Barber Stage. He has spent 30 years working with Cheynes Hairdressing group, is a Style Director and Wella MCE, and showcases his commercial and creative cutting & colouring techniques at the Wella Academies, Wella Trend Vision Collective Team, Salon International and ‘In salon seminars’ throughout the UK.
