25% of Irish women only tan their arms and legs

A quarter of Irish women who like a bronzed glow choose only to tan their arms and legs in the winter, while 5.7% only apply tan to their ankles.
Irish consumer tanning brand Cocoa Brown conducted a survey among its Irish, female users and found that while most (71.3%) go for a full body bronze, many tailor their tans to their outfits to save time, applying tan only where skin is on show.
According to the survey, Thursday is the most popular day for Irish women to do their tanning in preparation for the weekend.
Cocoa Brown founder Marissa Carter commented: “We need a little bit of an extra glow because we’re not getting an ounce of sunshine here in Ireland. I think tan is a real pick me up for people; it gives you that little boost."
