5 reasons to attend the 2020 World Spa & Wellness Convention

The 2020 World Spa & Wellness Convention is right around the corner – join us at ExCeL exhibition centre in London on Sunday, 11th October and Monday 12th October for an event not to be missed. Here’s five reasons why:

  1. The World Spa & Wellness Convention covers the most pressing and relevant topics facing spa, wellness and hotel operators today; delivering new insight and ideas on the latest trends and challenges.

This year, there are two core streams to the convention designed to give you even more opportunities to choose the key information you need –

Stream 1. The Business of Spa: Practical solutions to help tackle the real issues

Stream 2. Wellness in Spa: Improving outcomes for clients as a key to customer acquisition and retention.

Stream 1 includes sessions on what trends will take over the spa and wellness indurty this year and how incoprorating fitness into your offerings can impact your business with Global VP of wellbeing at Accor Hotels, Emlyn Brown, as chair. As well as a digital marketing panel including Oriel Frank, MD at Elemis and Danielle Scott, BDM at Climb Online.

On the other hand, in Stream 2 you can attend “How to Implement Sustainability into you Spa” which will focus on the growing trend of reducing waste and following more efficient processes.

  1. The convention offers one of the year’s few opportunities to hear many of the most experienced and high-profile names in the sector speak, sharing their input and expertise.

Keynote speakers include major players such as Jean-Pierre De Villiers, Peak performance coach, international speaker and best-selling author; Dr. Bryan Williams, renown international speaker and author and Therry Malleret, Managing Partner at the Monthly Barometer.

  1. The World Spa & Wellness Convention is not only a chance to hear leading industry professionals speak, but also to network with them, and with your spa and wellness peers and colleagues.

In addition to the two key streams, the convention will also feature “situation rooms” on two key topics – ramping up a successful opening, and managing a strategic turnaround. Delegates can choose to join one of three morning sessions, for day spas, hotel spas and resort spas, and witness how our roundtables of experts deal with these two challenges.

The WSWC also offers plenty of networking breaks, including a drinks reception in the evening on Saturday, 28th March, extensive lunch/networking breaks, coffee breaks on both days, and the World Spa & Wellness Awards on the evening of Sunday 11th October, which many convention speakers and delegates attend.

  1. The World Spa & Wellness Convention takes places as part of the Professional Beauty show at the ExCeL exhibition centre in London. A leading trade event for the spa, beauty and wellness sectors, the show annually attracts around 33,000 visitors over two days and draws more than 800 brands from across the sectors, as exhibitors.

As the biggest beauty trade show in the UK and one of the largest in Europe, Professional Beauty sees a wide range of product launches every year and is a fantastic opportunity to see the latest innovations, and get a feel for the trends set to shape the industry.

Industry areas represented at the show will range from skincare, furniture, software, machines and equipment and organic and natural products, to nails, brows and lashes, makeup and tanning and waxing. Whether you’re looking for new suppliers and products for your spa, or simply want to delve into what’s new – this is the place to do it, and convention delegates have free entry to the show.

    5. Expand your knowledge

Indusrty experts will over the course of the two days, be sharing their knowledge and experieces within the Spa & Wellness industry- which can in-turn pave the way for you to learn and help you create new ideas which can be applied directly to your own business.

No matter whether you are new to the world of wellness, or have dedicated your entire career to the industry, we can guarantee that you will leave this event feeling inspired. As Gareth Presch, Founder & CEO of Green Spa Netwrok says "The people and the energy in the room" are his favourite thing about the convention, so do not miss the opportunity to be part of that this year.
