Male consumers are using at least six grooming products a day

One third of male consumers use more than ten skin and hair products in their daily routine, according to a new study.

The results showed that 57% of respondents use between six to ten items a day, including shaving balm and shaving gel, helping to improve their skin and hair.

The money saving site, netvouchercodes.co.uk, interviewed 540 men and found that 25% use between 11 and 15 products, while seven per cent say that they use over 16 items daily.

One respondent said: “My skin is much smoother and not as rough and dry as it used to be.”

When asked why they used so many products, 44% stated that it was because they wanted to look their best.

“Over the last couple of years I’ve started to look after my skin - I almost have as many products as my girlfriend for my skincare regime,” said another respondent.

It seems that some celebrities may also be responsible for this surge, with 13% admitting that they wanted to follow the lead of David Beckham.
