PB meets Nicola Simmons, Training & Sales Manager at Phytomer

Professional Beauty interviews Nicola Simmons, Training & Sales Manager at Phytomer, who tells us about the success of the company and what’s in store for Professional Beauty London this February.

What is the background of the company and what type of products do you offer?

Phytomer is a marine based brand with over 10,000 points of sale around the world in salons and spas, offering a full range of face and body treatments with a complete retail line to complement them and covering every skin concern from ageing to fat burning.

What is your most popular product and what do you think makes it popular?

Our most popular product is Rosee Visage, a dual purpose product which acts as a toner and an eye make-up remover.  This makes it a very popular choice.  It is very gentle and can be used on all skin types and does not irritate even the most sensitive of skins.

What makes your products special over the competition?

Phytomer products are very results driven, after experiencing a treatment or product, the results can be seen and felt immediately.  It is a very natural brand with a very scientific approach.

How cost effective are your products when introducing them into a salon?

They are very cost effective and there is no minimum order so if a salon/spa would like to start with just one treatment they can do so.

Do you provide any extra services, advice or training programmes for professionals who use your products in their salons?

When a salon/spa takes on products or treatments, training is given for free and performed in their salon or spa.  Refresher training is always encouraged to keep the therapists interested and excited about the brand.  We also provide point of sale materials, in the way of posters, samples, testers etc to encourage brand awareness. Regular visits from area managers and quarterly promotions help to build confidence and consistency within accounts.  We aim to give all accounts complete support.

Why should salon owners visit your stand at the show?

We offer not only an amazing product and treatment line but we give 100% support to our accounts, we want our accounts to stay informed and enjoy thorough and consistent service from Phytomer as a brand.

Are you having anything new on your stand at the show?

Yes we will be launching a new CC Crème and Celluli Attack, a potent body product that helps burn fats in just a few drops.

Will you be having any special offers exclusive to the show?

Yes, we will offer a free trip to St Malo – the home of Phytomer skin care for training and a visit to the R&D centre to those who open an account (in excess of £5000) at the show or as a direct result from a follow up meeting. We will also offer bespoke opening packages and offers for salons and spas and free gifts in exchange for business cards.

Any other plans for the show?

We will be offering demonstrations of treatments and we will be on hand to answer questions and give as much information about the brand as possible.

What tips would you give salon owners looking to introduce a new line into their salon?

Learn the line as thoroughly as possible so you are confident in explaining it to clients, promote it to create some excitement.
