Indian therapists can now gain Cidesco Certificate in Skincare
Indian beauty therapists can now gain beauty and spa therapy standard Cidesco’s internationally recognised Certificate in Skincare qualification, increasing overseas employment opportunities for the sector.
Cidesco signed a Memorandum of Understanding with India’s Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC), established by the Indian government to improve skills and standards in the country’s beauty sector and enhance employability of India’s workforce globally.
The partnership will aim to establish service delivery parameters and uniformity in training, along with supporting knowledge sharing in the sector between India and the rest of the world.
Cidesco president Anna-Cari Gund commented: “This MoU will help in fast-tracking India’s mission to produce world-class beauty professionals. We are delighted that Cidesco is part of this mission. The Cidesco International Board and Section India are proud to be working together with this superb team.”
Vandana Luthra, chairperson of B&WSSC, added: "It is the first-of-its-kind initiative in which a Sector Skill Council has signed an MoU with an international body for boosting the global mobility of the candidates trained in beauty therapy."
Cidesco launched its first ever signature treatments in January.
