White Rose Beauty Colleges acquired by Learning Curve Group
National training provider Learning Curve Group (LCG) has announced the acquisition of Yorkshire-based White Rose Beauty Colleges (White Rose).
LCG, which already has hair and beauty academies across the Northeast of England and London, will see the addition of a further 3,500 learners each year in nine new locations and 170 employees as part of the acquisition.
White Rose is a Centre of Excellence with ITEC, a Flagship Centre with VTCT and a Habia Centre of Expertise, as well as achieving a Grade One - Outstanding result in its most recent Ofsted inspection.
LCG will now be delivering training from over 60 locations across England and Wales to add to its existing apprenticeship, community, and Adult Education provision.
White Rose founder and principal Karen Lee-Cooke said, ““Learning Curve Group shares the same values as White Rose for transforming lives through learning.
“Together we will be able to bring our range of multi-award-winning qualifications and training programmes to more learners across the UK than is currently possible, as well as benefiting from an even larger breadth of provision."
With beauty and nail salons being a key independent business group encouraging Brits to visit the high street, training of the next generation of beauty therapists is more important now than ever.
Speaking on the acquisition, LCG's chief executive Brenda McLeish OBE DL confirmed that the takeover would not affect existing jobs, as she shares, "We’re delighted that White Rose Beauty Colleges and all of their brilliant staff will become part of the Purple People family here at Learning Curve Group. It is important that any organisation that joins Learning Curve Group has shared values and a purpose, and I believe White Rose has exactly that.
"It is a fantastic business and one that has received a number of awardsas a result of its commitment to providing quality training. I am looking forward to working closely with the teams as we embark on our next stage of growth.”
