New course educates beauty pros on how to adapt their services for clients undergoing fertility treatment

Training provider Mooeys Masters has launched The Comprehensive Guide to Fertility Treatment course, which aims to teach beauty therapists about the many forms and reasons for undergoing fertility treatment and give them the tools to adapt their services and the language they use with clients who are undergoing such treatment. 

The UK-based course is for all professionals providing client-facing personal care services, focused on increasing understanding around fertility treatment. It is also set to be the first of Mooeys Masters courses to be hosted online.

The course consists of a series of modules to be completed in a specific order, covering the reasons and causes for clients turning to fertility treatment, helping to spread awareness of what the client may be experiencing physically and emotionally.

By offering real-life testimonies, Mooeys intends to provide an overview of the varying medical conditions and processes surrounding the treatment too.

Amy Lewis, founder and managing director of Mooeys Masters & waxing and nails specialist salon chain Mooeys, explained to Professional Beauty why she designed this module using qualitative data instead of relying on medical statistics alone.

“I wanted to know how the client felt, what information they wanted to pass on and what they truly want/wanted from professional/personal service providers. I didn’t want to know what the doctor felt or the so-called experts,” she said.

“What better expert to give us this information than the women who have experienced first-hand the many different journeys in fertility treatment by sharing with us their stories, experiences and views.”
