New spa opens at Ramside Hall hotel
The new spa has opened at Ramside Hall hotel near Durham in the UK. The spa, the final stage in a £16 million investment into the property, features a treatment suite with 14 treatment rooms.
The treatment suite also incorporates a “sleep retreat” with sleep pods, sound wave therapy beds, a rasul chamber and the Beauty Snug area offering manicure, pedicure and makeup services.
Other facilities at the spa include a thermal suite with an aroma steam room, a herbal infusion sauna, a Himalayan salt steam room, an amphitheatre sauna, a caldarium and drench showers.
The spa features five pools; including a 25m swimming pool, an outdoor vitality pool and an infinity pool, as well as a herb garden and a fitness centre. The spa also includes Reef Salons, providing hairdressing and barber services.
Spa director Jill Russell said: "The interest we have already had in the spa has been phenomenal. And we are so excited to be able to finally show off what is undoubtedly going to be one of the finest spas in the country.”
The spa has partnered with UK skincare brand Espa, and also uses Salt of the Earth, Morgan Taylor and Artistic Colour Gloss for nail services, and Mii Cosmetics for makeup.
The Asian-themed Fusion restaurant, located in the spa, blends South East Asian recipes with locally sources ingredients. The investment into Ramside Hall has also included 47 new bedrooms, added earlier this year, and the addition of a second golf course in 2014.
