Regis to launch new beauty concept in John Lewis

On September 24 hair and beauty salon operator Regis UK will open a new beauty concept called &Beauty in John Lewis Birmingham.

Fronted by Regis UK’s creative director Kieren Fowles, this new venture will provide salon services combined with spa treatments, such as waxing, threading, manicures, pedicures and microdermabrasion. Facials will cost from £30. There will also be a dedicated relaxation area, where customers can relax before and after treatments. Brands will include Crystal Clear, Pinks Boutique, Pai, Ishga and Lira. Regis owns brands such as Supercuts, the hair salon franchise appearing in many Tesco stores.

“The launch of the new &Beauty concept at John Lewis will provide people with a convenient interlude between shopping, making it easier than ever to enjoy some all-important ‘me time’,” says Jackie Lang, managing director of Regis UK. The company has been continuing to grow and expand its retail service offering. Regis salons have been in a handful of Debenhams stores for some time, although this new concept marks Regis’s first collaboration with John Lewis. This venture also follows the success of smaller Beauty Retreats in four other John Lewis shops.

Lang adds, “We’ve seen a clear shift in consumer behaviour over the last few years, with more people opting for on-the-go hair and beauty solutions to fit with the demands of everyday life.” Paula Nickolds, buying and brand director, said, “We know that today shoppers want more than just products when they walk through out shop doors; they also want a space where they can enjoy new experiences and relax with friends and family.”
