South West of England has the highest number of vegan salons
The South West of England has the most vegan beauty salons in the UK, according to new research by wholesaler of professional beauty supplies Salons Direct.
There are 15 beauty salons in the area that offer vegan-friendly treatments and products, followed closely by London with 14 and the South East with 11. The North West came in fourth (11), East Anglia (6) fifth and Wales sixth (6), the report found.
While the southern regions are currently dominating the vegan scene, the North West is quickly catching up and it is expected that many more salons will be added to the directory in the coming year, the supplier predicts.

Salons Direct has created an interactive vegan salon map which lists the businesses by location, providing details of treatments on offer.
With veganism becoming more popular, the wholesaler believes this will become a valuable tool for clients to locate a salon that matches their ethos: “Now is the perfect time to highlight the amazing work many vegan beauty experts are doing to make changes that benefit both their business and the environment.”
