November marks World Vegan Month, and new stats show that the international vegan beauty market is forecast to grow at a rate of almost 7% a year between now and 2032.
The global market for vegan cosmetics is set to reach a value of $32.56bn (£25.21bn), up from $18.03bn (£13.96bn) in 2023, according to analyst Fortune Business Insights.
The data also showed that Europe leads the way in vegan beauty, with the European market worth $6.13 billion (£4.75bn) in 2023 and predicted to reach $8.83bn (£6.84bn) by 2030.
Europe's major national markets for cruelty-free cosmetics are Germany, France, the UK, Italy, and Spain.
How to find vegan salons in the UK
The number of vegan salons in the UK is also on the rise and there is even an interactive map that helps consumers find their nearest vegan-friendly beauty and hair service provider.
Wholesaler Salons Direct created the interactive vegan salon map, which lists the businesses by location, providing details of treatments on offer.
With veganism becoming more popular, the tool was created a few years ago now and has continued to grow, detailing more locations and helping clients to locate a salon that matches their ethos.
