Alexandru Stefan, director of Clinic Software, reveals why mobile is the way forward and what features he will be adding to his software solution later this year
We recently launched our first app for smartphones (iPhone and Android) and tablets, and it’s a much easier way to book and view everything from beauty services, facials, manicures, pedicures and more. Currently, we’re working on adding even more features to the app because we can see that the benefits for clinics, salons and spas are huge.
Mobile is how we are spending a lot more of our time and idle time on apps make up a huge percentage of that. I believe this demonstrates that consumers want the simplicity and focus that apps provide, rather than the diffusion inherent in websites.
Mobile apps allow customers to have all the information they need at their fingertips. Apps can build loyalty, reinforce brand identity, increase visibility, boost accessibility, increase sell-through, boost exposure across mobile devices, connect with on-the-go consumers, improve customer satisfaction, drive up sales and give owners an edge over the competition. That's why they are so important for businesses in today’s market.
Later this year we will be launching a lot of great new features, one in particular being “customer trends”. This is where our software analyses a business’s customer data using artificial intelligence in order to increase sales.
The software will automatically scan the business database – customer activity, appointments etc – and, based on those results, will automatically send a reminder to a customer who hasn’t been in, for say three months, with a treatment offer or let them know when their favourite therapist or doctor next has a free slot available.
