Thalgo to introduce summer treatment inspired by Pacific island

Thalgo is introducing a limited edition “pop-up” treatment into its salon and spa accounts for the summer months.

The 45-minute Maupiti Stopover facial will be launched in May and is designed to revitalise and relax the face. Inspired by Pacific island Maupiti with its “wild archipelago and idyllic landscapes”, the treatment uses Polynesian massage techniques, textures and fragrances.

Starting with the “discovery of the sea ritual” of relaxing massage combined with a spritz of Reviving Marine Mist, the therapist then applies Melt-in Scrub with marine crystals to gently exfoliate and stimulate the skin’s regeneration. Next comes the “heart of the ocean” massage on the neck and shoulders, a marine-inspired signature massage using deep smoothing motions and rolling pressures. Facial massage follows, using vertical movements from the temples down to create energy and help the skin detox.

Thalgo's Replenishing Mask is applied to nourish and moisturise, followed by new Tropical Island Cream to tackle signs of fatigue and stress. The treatment will cost from £40 outside London and £45 in London.
