The Global Wellness Summit 2019 has changed location from Hong Kong to Singapore

The Global Wellness Summit (GWS) has announced that the 2019 conference will be moving from Hong Kong to Singapore – less than two months before the event is set to take place.

The 13thannual conference is still set to happen on October 15–17 but will now be hosted at the Grand Hyatt Singapore after the organisers felt that some delegates may feel worried about travelling to Hong Kong due to the unrest.

“In an effort to ensure travel is as seamless as possible in and out of the summit, our GWS leadership, advisory board and partners felt this shift in location was important for the collective wellbeing of everyone involved,” said Susie Ellis, GWS chairman and chief executive.

“We are working closely with event organisers and the host sponsor to ensure the event remains first-class and there is little interruption for all attendees and presenters.”

The organisers have said additional details will be provided as soon as possible.

The GWS is an invitation-only international gathering that brings together industry leaders to help shape the business of wellness.

The event is held annually in different locations across the globe, with previous destinations being US, Switzerland, Turkey, Bali, India, Morocco, Mexico, Austria and Italy.
