Titanic Spa invests £35,000 in workplace wellbeing with new wellness area for staff

Titanic Spa in Huddersfield has invested £35,000 in a staff wellness area, with the hope it will aid the team’s mental wellbeing.

The aim of the airy staff room, filled with living plant walls, is to help the spa’s therapists, gym instructors, housekeeping and front-of-house staff invest in a lifestyle that will boost their physical and mental wellbeing, featuring a breakfast bar, healthy snack machines, phone charging points, areas to meditate and more.

Dubbed “a clean breathing space”, staff have unlimited access to the room and the hope is it will not only get the different teams socialising more, but will help employees maintain a better work-life balance and get some much needed me time each day.

“Ever since we launched, it has been our quest to run a sustainable business that really cares for the wellbeing of the planet, guests and our team. Having a happy team is crucial to running a business, and making simple steps to improve the lives’ of team members is what we are focused on,” said managing director Warrick Burton.

Titanic is an eco-spa and was one of the first UK spa operations to launch an initiative to cut down the plastic waste it creates as global efforts focus on reducing plastics.
