Competitors will have the chance to show off their skills and battle it out for the chance to raise their profile in the industry whist competing against the best!
For the first time Professional Beauty is offering you the chance to compete in a combined competition! Beauty Skills UK is a combined competition made up of Bridal Make-up, Manicure Nail and Facial Categories.
Best of Bridal – Choose from Glamorous, Natural or Traditional It will start at 10:00am and will be 2 hours. To ensure a successful and captivating presentation for your bride, it is essential to align their vision whether it embraces glamour, celebrates her natural beauty, or honours cultural heritage, while meeting the expectations of even the most discerning clients. Your goal is to encapsulate your bride's unique essence through impeccable makeup, hair, nails, and overall styling. Keep in mind that your final look should be impactful from both a distance and up close.

Facial category starts at 1:30pm. The task: 60-minute facial treatment A consultation will have taken place prior to the start of the competition, a completed consultation form will be provided to be updated during the treatment. ● Cleanse – eye, lip, face, neck and shoulders ● Skin analysis ● Exfoliation treatment ● Facial massage – 20 mins ● Mask – the mask must be visible and opaque. Competitors will have marks deducted if the mask is transparent. Competitor to complete either a hand and arm massage, or scalp massage whilst the mask is on. – 10 mins ● Tone and moisturise ● Professional treatment conclusion and home care advice

The Manicure competition will start at 9:30am and end at 10:15am. (45 mins) Purpose: focus on perfect and safe preparation of the cuticle and surrounding skin and immaculate painting using traditional nail polish. A ‘before’ picture will be taken by the lead judge on a smart phone.

Event Overview:
The Professional Beauty Skills UK Competitions, hosted by Professional Beauty Magazine and VTCT Skills, will be held on 2nd and 3rd March 2025 at Excel in London. This event aims to celebrate the skills of students in the beauty industry and provide valuable learning experiences.
Key Highlights:
Focus: Learner-focused competitions designed to enhance education and recognise the
contribution of colleges and private learning centres.
Target Audience: Students currently on foundation courses or qualified less than 12
months.
Competition includes - Core Categories:
Manicure, Facial and Bridal Make-Up.
Other Student Categories are available: Gel Polish, Salon Nail, InstaNail, Insta Make-Up,
Boxed Nails Mixed Media.
To recognise and reward hardwork HABIA CPD Certificates to be awarded to lecturers that bring learners to competitions.
Awards: Individual trophies and a national college cup.
The competition is being held at Excel London on March 2nd and 3rd, 2025. It is being hosted by Professional Beauty Magazine and VTCT Skills. Those interested in competing can register for one or all three categories.
