Are you a specialist in electrolysis? The new Electrologist of the Year category in the Professional Beauty Awards 2025 is your chance to get recognised and rewarded for your talents.
This is the first time the Professional Beauty Awards has had a specialist category for electrolysis, and it has been launched for 2025 in recognition of the resurgence in popularity of the procedure.
Who can enter Electrologist of the Year?
The brand-new award will recognise experts in blemish removal using electrolysis.
The Electrologist of the Year category is sponsored by Elite Probes. However, the award is judged independently and electrologists who use any brand of equipment can enter.
The category is open to any electrologist who has been working in a salon or spa or as a mobile therapist since at least the end of February 2023. Electrologists who work from their own homes are eligible to enter. Entries close on August 16.
How is the award judged?
Following the first round of online judging, the shortlist will be announced this autumn.
Finalists will then attend a practical test in London on Thursday, January 30, 2025, along with a model, where they will perform a blemish removal treatment and then be interviewed by judges.
The final winner will then be announced at the Professional Beauty Awards gala dinner on March 2, 2025.
What will judges be looking for?
Initial entry questions ask applicants to explain what sets them apart from other electrologists and why they deserve to win.
You’ll also be asked to list your qualifications and areas of specialism as well as your hygiene and customer care protocols.
