#PBLondon talks episode 1: salon social media skills with Ryan Power
Ryan Power, co-founder of Salonology, joins editorial assistant Lollie Hancock in this video to reveal how salon owners can use social media as the ultimate marketing tool for their businesses, as well as giving a sneak peak of what to expect from his talk at Professional Beauty London on April 4 at ExCeL London.
During this live interview, Power shared the key do's and don'ts when using social media to boost your salon business, including the importance of planning your marketing campaign. It's really hard to post in between appointments, so Power advises taking one hour per week to think about the treatments you want to promote and the content you want to create.
Then, you will be able to schedule everything in advance and not worry about your social media during the week.
The second main piece of advice Power gave is is to mix business content with content not related to your beauty salon. “Ultimately, people buy from people," he said. "it’s important to share daily content to your community to boost your engagement."
Power will be hosting the Business Skills: Marketing & Social Media Stage at the Professional Beauty Show on April 3–4, and will be speaking on the stage on Monday, April 4, at 2pm about “How to use social media to attract more dream clients than you’ll ever possibly need”.
PB London has an amazing education programme and the speakers on the Business Skills: Marketing & Social Media Stage include Debbie Lewis, founder of Salon Socials; Cey Sesiguzel, managing director of Two Fresh; and Hollie Power, co-founder of beauty coaching Salonology.
