Be a record breaker!

Professional Beauty 2013 is your chance to be a Guinness World Record holder as part of the most ambitious spray tan event in history.

As part of the PB exhibition at Excel, London, we are planning to set an official Guinness World Record for the highest number of simultaneous spray tans. And we need you!

Come and be involved in the event for your chance to be named a world record holder. We need 300 spray tanners and 300 models to join us at 12pm midday on Monday February 25 to be part of the attempt.

The world record has never been attempted before so there is no existing number to beat but the officials at Guinness World Records have requested that we stage at lease 300 simultaneous tans in order to be declared record holders.

On the day, spray tanners and their an official adjudicator from Guinness World Records will count and verify entrants and if we’re successful we will be announced as world record holders there and then!

Who can get involved?

• Any qualified beauty therapist or student who can competently carry out spray tans and has access to their own spray gun, tent and a model.

Why should I join the World Record attempt?

• Be part of something amazing in our industry: this is your chance to be an official Guinness World Record Holder
• Be famous! We’ll have national broadcast and print media onsite covering the event
• Use your world record-holder status to grow your business: every therapist and model who takes part in the record attempt will receive a certificate that can be displayed in their salon or college.
• Do something for charity: the record attempt is being held in support of our official show charity, Wellbeing of Women.

What happens on the day?

• You will need to bring your own spray tan gun, tanning tent, towel and a willing model
• Secure storage will be provided for your equipment before and after the record attempt on the day.
• You and your model must register at the record attempt room at Excel, London, by 11am on the morning of February 25.
• You must both then be available to return to take place in the record attempt between 12pm and 1pm.
• Your model is required to wear a black bikini or trunks [CHECK].
• At 12pm, when the buzzer sounds you will need to perform a full-body spray tan on your model.

Who else will be involved?

• The record attempt is being organised and managed by Professional Beauty with the backing of the industry.
• We have already secured support from celebrity tanners including Lauren Goodger and James Read, with more tanning stars to be announced online soon.
• All the big-name spray tanning brands will also be involved, including Fake Bake, LDN Skins, Vita Liberata, Lauren’s Way, Urban Tan, Su-Do, Nouveau Beauty Group, Tan Solutions, He-Shi and Tan 365.
