Espa Life introduces medical massage programme

Espa Life, the health and wellbeing concept at Corinthia Spa, is introducing a Medical Massage programme designed to identify the root cause of clients’ health problems and treat them holistically.

The Medical Massage treatments are intended for clients who are suffering from or wish to prevent physical pain and emotional stresses, aiming to deliver restoration, rehabilitation, and relaxation. Espa life has put together a team of expert practitioners, scouted from around the globe for their abilities to improve the physiological and neurological wellbeing of guests in a non-invasive and calming way, “by combining their knowledge of the human anatomy with an holistic understanding of health”.

They are: James Mutkin, a traditional Chinese medicine doctor who uses cupping techniques, deep tissue massage and acupuncture; Lucja Maslowska, who specialises in holistic medical massage techniques and draws on Eastern concepts of energy; Heshmat Nasiri, a qualified physiotherapist and expert in musculoskeletal and neurological therapy; and Roopjeet Panesar, a master of osteopathy and naturopathy, who is also a kinesio taping practitioner, a method that uses elastic therapeutic tape to promote the body’s rehabilitation.

“Our practitioners understand that our twenty-first century lifestyles have implications on our physical and mental health. It is not only the physical support, but emotional support they offer their guests, that signifies their success,” said Nichola Roche, Spa Director, Espa Life
