Having a mobile app can boost salon reputation
As well as boosting bookings, having a mobile app can make your salon appear more professional and increase loyalty, according to new research.
Three-quarters (75%) of salons and spas that have a mobile app find it beneficial to the image of the business, helping them to “look good” in the eyes of clients, according to a survey of over 800 UK salons and nail bars by app provider Appsme.
81% of users in the sector also said that having an app has had a positive effect on net earnings, with 35% adding this has been aided by in-app click-to-call features.
Beau Beauty, a salon in Caerphilly, Wales, said the accessibility and client interaction afforded by having an app has given the business an extra boost, “It improves customers’ perception of us as a company as it allows us to reach our clients around the clock and encourage repeat business with our loyalty card scheme,” said owner Rhiannon Jones.
32% also noted that having an app had improved customer engagement, through the use of tools like push notifications, digital loyalty cards and securing a presence on the customer’s mobile device.
