Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre introduces watsu package

The Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre at London’s Hotel Café Royal has introduced a new package to incorporate its Watsu pool, the first in the city.

The package is called Dream with the Tide, and has been developed in collaboration with Poetry in Water, fronted by Watsu therapist Steve Karle. It aims to encourage deep relaxation and restful sleep and includes a personal session with Karle and his team, during which the client floats in body-temperature neutral water and is guided into a series of waves that encourage spinal elongation, with twists and yoga-like stretching to alleviate aches, pains and tension in the body.

Akasha’s watsu pool is dedicated to water therapy and heated to an optimum temperature of 35 degrees celsius for deep muscle relaxation. After the watsu session, the package includes a night at the Hotel Café Royal followed by a healthy breakfast the next morning.
