Cork ranked number one in Ireland for discount beauty deals

Residents of Cork, Ireland, are the most discount obsessed when it comes to beauty treatments, according to statistics from daily deal site LivingSocial.

The research examined a year’s worth of nationwide sales data and found that of all the discounted deals purchased in 2014, a higher percentage were for beauty treatments in Cork (31%) than in any other city in Ireland, where the national average is 25%.

Limerick came a close second, with 30% of deals and offers purchased falling into the beauty category. In South East Ireland it was 25%, while North Dublin and Galway both came in at 23%, and South Dublin at 18%.

The most popular reduced price treatments for Cork’s residents were found to be manicures and pedicures; more of these deals were purchased here than anywhere else in Ireland and the UK.

A total of 75 different treatments were included in the analysis, including hair removal, teeth whitening and spa packages.
