Why is now the right time to invest in male grooming?
With the huge rise in the number of beauty salons, the market for women is saturated. Men are the great-untapped market, but are often unwilling to enter salons for what they may see as “ladies” treatments. Offer them something that is appropriately masculine (you can't get much more macho than a cutthroat razor shave!) and they're far more likely to come in.
What do therapists need to know before offering a facial incorporating a hot shave?
It's important to incorporate elements that men will find appealing. We men are just as vain as women, but don't like to admit it. Offer a solution to a problem rather than pampering. As the shave concentrates on the face try giving advice on their skin type and problems then offer a facial to target that.
What is your top tip for attracting new male clients?
Target your existing female clientele. Offering shave gift tokens to your existing clients is a cheap, easy and profitable way to start spreading the word about your new service.
