Illegal workers found during raid at beauty salon in Flintshire

Crystal Nails & Beauty salon in Buckley, Flintshire, is facing a potential penalty of up to £40,000 after the Home Office found illegal immigrants at the shop.

A 33-year-old Vietnamese man was found by immigration enforcement officers during a raid on Tuesday, as well as a child who has been referred to social services, according to a report by the BBC. The man now faces deportation.

"Those who use and exploit illegal workers face severe financial penalties,” said Richard Johnson, from Immigration Enforcement in Wales.

"We are happy to work with businesses to ensure the right pre-employment checks are carried out, but those intent on operating outside the law will be found and will be punished."

The salon was served with an illegal worker notice.
