2017 Professional Beauty Regional Awards open for entries tomorrow
The 2017 Professional Beauty Regional Awards open for entries tomorrow for spas and salons in the UK.
The Regional Awards are taking place for the second year running, but with new categories for this year. Divided into two segments, one for salons and one for spas, the awards feature 14 salon categories across seven regions.
The 2017 Professional Beauty Regional Awards salon categories are:
- Scotland Boutique Salon of the Year
- Scotland Large Salon of the Year
- Northern Ireland Boutique Salon of the Year
- Northern Ireland Large Salon of the Year
- Midlands Boutique Salon of the Year
- Midlands Large Salon of the Year
- South East Boutique Salon of the Year
- South East Large Salon of the Year
- South West & Wales Boutique Salon of the Year
- South West & Wales Large Salon of the Year
- North East Boutique Salon of the Year
- North East Large Salon of the Year
- North West Boutique Salon of the Year
- North West Large Salon of the Year
There are also eight categories available for spas to enter in the Regional Awards, across the same number of regions. The 2017 spa categories are:
- Scotland Spa of the Year
- Northern Ireland Spa of the Year
- Midlands Spa of the Year
- South East Spa of the Year
- London Spa of the Year
- South West & Wales Spa of the Year
- North East Spa of the Year
- North West Spa of the Year
Introduced in 2016, entering the Professional Beauty regional awards are now a requirement for spas and salons wishing to take part in the national Professional Beauty awards next year.
Spas and salons wishing to compete in the following categories in the 2018 Professional Beauty Awards in London on Sunday, February 26 next year must first enter and win their respective category in the Regional Awards:
Day Spa of the Year, Beauty Salon of the Year: Three Rooms or Fewer; Beauty Salon of the Year: Four Rooms or More; Residential Spa of the Year: 10 Rooms or Fewer; Residential Spa of the Year: 11 Rooms or More.
The shortlist for the Regional Awards will be announced in the middle of July after which all finalists will be visited by an official judge as part of the awards judging process. The winner in each category will go straight through to the Professional Beauty national awards.
The 2017 Professional Beauty Regional Awards ceremony will be held in the evening of day one of the Professional Beauty North trade show in Manchester on Sunday, October 8.
