Luxury boutique spa to open in Somerset
A luxury boutique spa is set to open on the Windmill Retreat Estate in Somerset in the UK in May, it has been announced.
Elements Boutique Spa will draw inspiration from nature and the rural landscape around it, with facilities including four treatment rooms, a manicure/pedicure area and a heated outdoor pool.
The spa will also comprise a sauna, steam room, experience showers and spacious relaxation area.
Among treatments at the spa, the design of which includes locally sourced materials such as wood and stonework, will be a range of Aromatherapy Associates therapies. Windmill Retreat Estate owner Nick Ridgment said:
“We wanted to create a spa where guests can come for a single hour's treatment, a full spa day or an overnight retreat in one our five star luxury lodges and still have the same result – leaving with a sense of pure wellbeing and relaxation.”
Aromatherapy Associates treatments on the menu will include the Intensive Muscle Release body treatment; created to relieve tension in tight, aching muscles and incorporating incorporates Swedish and cross muscle fibre massage techniques.
Among other Aromatherapy Associates treatments offered will be the anti-ageing Age Repair Facial. Developed to firm and plump skin, the treatment includes an exfoliation with jojoba beads or corn cob granules, and two facials masks – one to hydrate and one to plump – among other elements.
The spa will also be working with skincare brand Made for Life Organics, and nail line Nailberry. Made for Life treaments will include the Hand on Heart and Touch Therapy options, created for clients going through or in recovery from cancer.
Windmill Retreat Estate offers a selection of five star holiday cottages, with features including outdoor hot tubs, log burners and balconies offering countryside views.
